New friends on top of the world

Dear excursion group,

The trip to Liverpool was great!

But my personal highlight was noticing that I got along wonderfully with the people in the group. It was on the bus drive to Lake District. We were stuck in that never-ending traffic jam and we had so much fun singing and playing stupid games (I pack my bag…). I was so happy to have people around me who can be crazy about anything. That was only possible because every member of the group was tolerant and open towards the others. My special highlight was making new friends. And those friendships have lasted!

What impressed me most about Liverpool was the Anglican Cathedral. I am not into old buildings but I invested 3 pounds in climbing the tower. The higher I got the more my heart beat. But when I stood at the top it was amazing. I could see the river and the typical English architecture of Liverpool and a stiff breeze blew all around me. Standing so high above everything gave me a different perspective on things. It provoked my thoughts but it also made me feel like standing on top of the world being unreachable and far away from all problems.
